Our Pastor: Floyd T. Davidson, and his wife Marsha.

Pastor and Marsha both were born in Canton, Ohio, They were high-school sweethearts and married on November 23, 1968, six months after Marsha’s graduation. God blessed this union with two children and five grandchildren.

Marsha was saved as a teen during a revival service at the Canton Baptist Temple. Pastor was saved at home at the age of twenty, due largely to the soul-winning efforts of one of the pastoral staff members of the same church. Shortly thereafter, while attending a family camp, the lord called him into full-time ministry. At the time, he was working in the computer center of the Timken Roller Bearing Company and Marsha was employed as a dental assistant. He and Marsha together committed their lives to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Upon graduation from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri they entered full-time ministry. During the past quarter of a century they have been faithfully serving the Lord. Bro. Davidson has served as youth pastor, bus minister, Sunday School coordinator, and Pastor. Before coming to Liberty Baptist Church they also served as church planting missionaries. From 1985 until 1997 they were Baptist Bible Fellowship missionaries to the country of Belize, Central America. This experience broadened their vision beyond the limits of the local church to realize that God wants to use every Christian to help fulfill the great commission of getting the Gospel to "all the world."

Marsha’s talents of encouragement, organization, and motivation have been greatly used by God to bring people to the Savior as well as motivate them to serve. Through such ministries as Sunday School, choir, ladies meetings, teen mentoring, etc. she has shown her God-given abilities to reach people with the Gospel and train them in the things of God.

Years ago in that family camp they surrendered their lives to "go where He wanted them to go . . . anytime . . . anyplace!" Their years of faithful service along with the diversity of ministry and localities have served as evidence of the sincerity of their commitment to each other and their Lord.
